Where to ask
The WordPress.org support forum is the right place for anything about the theme. It is public, which means the next person with the same question finds your thread.
For OwlDraft Publisher — the paid plugin — use owldraft.com/support. Licence holders get replies from us directly.
What to include
A question with these four things in it usually gets answered in one reply rather than four:
- What you expected, and what happened. “The header button is missing” beats “the header is broken”.
- A URL where it can be seen. Nothing else is as useful.
- Versions — WordPress, PHP, and Stoat. Tools → Site Health → Info has all three, with a copy button.
- What you have already tried.
A screenshot helps for anything visual. If the problem only appears at one window size, say which.
Try this first
The two checks that resolve most reports:
Deactivate every plugin. If the problem goes away, reactivate them one at a time until it comes back. A plugin conflict is the commonest cause of a theme “bug”, and knowing which plugin turns a week of guessing into a five-minute fix.
Switch to Twenty Twenty-Four and back. If the problem is still there under a default theme, it is a WordPress or plugin problem and the theme forum is the wrong room.
Do both on a staging copy if the site is live.

Stoat is a free theme maintained by a small team. Replies are usually within a few days.
Reporting a security issue
Do not post it in the public forum. Report it privately through owldraft.com/support with the details, and give us a chance to ship a fix before it is public.
